7/26/04 - I am bad at updating this page. The demos should work and have for about
4 months. I'm so very sorry.
3/16/04 - I just realized that my demos required the .net framework to run.
This is no good so I fixed it, I think. Confirmation of the fix will be posted as
soon as I can actually confirm it.
Overview
BattleGround is a 3D Game Engine that I am currently working on in order to
somday produce a complete game and as a continual learning tool for myself.
BattleGround is being developed primarily for the creation of a real-time
strategy game, but my overall design goal is to make it versatile enough
to be usable for developing a game of any genre. I have learned many things
while working on this project but there are two things that stand out.
1) A little time spent planning saves a lot of time programming.
2) Blizzard has more than one programmer for a reason.
The art in BattleGround is art that I have borrowed from Warcraft 3 by
deciphering their file formats and converting them to my own. If Blizzard has
a problem with this I will stop using their art but I would appreciate it if in
return they would hire me.
